Regardless of the huge snowstorm we had this past week here in Minnesota, a few of us local MPLS wedding vendors are prepping for our first styed shoot of the year. “Spring Awakening” will feature some sweet and pretty ideas for early spring nuptials and elopements. As I write this there is a fresh foot of snow on the ground so the idea of fiddleheads and tulips makes me a little confused. We’re hoping the inspiring shoot in mid-March will bring warmer weather and lots and lots of flowers!
East Road Photography will be capturing the soft, spring shoot near Lake Harriet. Known for her adorable shots of cuddly little babes and toddlers, Sara, owner of East Road Photography, is the perfect candidate to shoot the whimsical and feminine styling.
Honey and Rye Bakehouse will be helping supply some super delicious goodies for props (and potentially our mouths after). Can’t wait to partner with them to see what kinds of yummy, spring inspired bakes they plan to provide for the shoot!
A wonderfully talented friend of mine, Sara Nintzel an up and coming stationary artist, will be doing some of her incredibly beautiful hand painted watercolors with calligraphy to create very simple, elegant and absolutely perfect paper items.
Decorations and props will be curated from a variety of local antique shops – I’ll be sure to note all of the great finds so you too can explore vintage shops in your area to pull together your very own wedding/elopement celebration!
Here’s some inspiration for the upcoming shoot.
And don’t forget to check back in mid March for the images!
